Statutory guidance on careers

NEW: The DfE have published updated statutory guidance for schools, and guidance for further education colleges, sixth form colleges and  ITPs.

The updated Gatsby Benchmarks are expected to be implemented from September 2025 and guidance supports the Government’s ambition to introduce a guarantee of two weeks’ worth of work experience for every young person.

The ASK programme

From 1 August 2025, the Department for Education will no longer fund the programme. Schools and colleges seeking support with apprenticeships and technical pathways should contact their local Careers Hub and the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network.
